Sahand is originally from Iran. He did his undergrad degree at University of Tehran and joined the Chemical Engineering doctoral program at NC State in the Fall of 2015. He loves playing videogames, hanging out with friends, and watching soccer (especially if Chelsea FC is playing). He is interested in characterizing synaptic decline in C. elegans via high-throughput imaging and large-scale data analysis.
